about us
At the University Church of Eugene, we cherish the intrinsic value of every individual. Since our inception in 2015, we've remained steadfast in our commitment to the core beliefs that underpin our Christian organization: to love God wholeheartedly, with every fiber of our being – heart, soul, mind, and strength.
Our mission is clear: we aim to be a driving force for positive change within our community. We're here to guide and support your spiritual journey. Dive into our collection of previous sermons to get a feel for what we're about, available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, and to enrich your understanding of the Word.
We treasure the moments we spend together and are eager to get to know you. We gather in various locations and homes, united by our common mission. Please check our calendar for details on our upcoming events and locations. We welcome you to join us and be a part of our growing community.
For our young ones, we offer a dedicated Sunday class for children aged 6 months to 6 years. In these classes, our compassionate teachers engage with the children through song, Bible stories, and play. While we currently do not have classes for children aged 7 to 11, we encourage families to foster discussions about the service to foster spiritual growth together.
Leadership
The Hungerford Family
Our church ministers are Joseph and Madison Hungerford. Joseph became a disciple in the Eugene church where Madison also grew up with her family. Shortly after getting married and learning disciple making in campus ministry, the Hungerfords were sent out to plant a Bend house church. Returning from that venture after five years, the Hungerfords now love and guide the Eugene church family along with their own three children Thaddeus, Saoirse, and Valor. Madison has a passion for motherhood and grief recovery coming alongside the church as our women’s ministry leader. Joseph loves equipping others, sharing the gospel, and making Christian video content working alongside biblicallyresilient.org and disciplestoday.org
